What is the difference between an "Emergency Dispatch" and a "Scheduled Inspection"?
Emergency Dispatch (Game Recovery/SAR): This triggers an immediate high-priority alert to our pilot. We prioritize these calls due to the time-sensitive nature of biological recovery.
Scheduled Inspection (Residential/Commercial): These are planned missions for infrastructure, roofing, or building envelopes. Data is collected, processed through our "Data Engine," and delivered as a formal report.
Is a Thermal Camera "X-Ray Vision"? No. This is a common misconception. Thermal sensors (Radiometric) do not see through objects; they measure Long-Wave Infrared (LWIR) radiation emitted from the surface of an object.
The Standard: We follow industry-standard thermography practices. We look for Delta-T (temperature differences) to identify anomalies.
False Impression: A thermal drone cannot see a deer through a solid lead roof or thick concrete. It identifies the thermal signature (heat) escaping through gaps in the canopy or radiating from the animal's body.
Does weather affect the results? Yes. High winds, heavy rain, or "solar loading" (when the sun heats everything up to the same temperature) can wash out thermal signatures. We monitor "Space Weather" and local conditions to ensure the delta is high enough for a successful mission.
Radiometric: A sensor that captures the temperature of every single pixel in the image, allowing for precise post-flight analysis.
Nadir: An image taken looking straight down—standard for mapping and roof inspections.
Building Envelope: The physical separator between the conditioned and unconditioned environment of a building (where we look for heat loss).
sUAS: Small Unmanned Aircraft System (the professional term for our drone fleet).
To ensure a safe and successful mission, clients must agree to the following standards:
For Game Recovery (Thermal)
Landowner Permission: You must have legal access to the property or written permission from the landowner before we launch.
Cease the Search: For best results, stop foot traffic in the area 2 hours before the drone arrives. Human heat signatures can "contaminate" the search area and spook the animal.
Legal Compliance: We operate strictly within Missouri wildlife regulations. We provide recovery assistance, not "hunting" or "scouting" services.
For Structural Inspections (Thermal/Visual)
Clearance: Ensure all pets and non-essential personnel are indoors during the flight.
HVAC Prep: For interior heat-loss inspections, we may ask you to turn your heat or AC up 4 hours prior to create a significant temperature differential.
Access: Ensure there are no active TFRs (Temporary Flight Restrictions) or "No Fly" requests from neighbors that you are aware of.
Privacy: Our drones are mission-specific. We do not record video of neighboring properties or engage in surveillance. We are data-collectors focused on your specific project boundaries.
Safety: As a Part 107 Certified Pilot and Veteran, safety is our primary metric. If the wind or airspace is unsafe, we will reschedule at no cost to you.
